Plot: An overburdened universe of regiment and automation wrestles with the underpinnings of desire. Nowhere goes unseen by the ever-watchful guidance of the IGS-U. But beneath this placid grid of mundane absolutism, lies an underbelly that would make even Freud want to lie down.
Hyperballad is a cloaked space super-station that would make the Death Star look like a golf ball. It is, in a way, hidden within its own universe—it is the ultimate escape from reality, where counterculture converges to create glorious feats of art. It is explosive, vibrant, brief, and dangerous.
—We are, of course, talking about theatre. But not the kind you’re used to. Proponents of Hyperballad come to see the miraculous and the impossible. Before their eyes, a modest stadium can shift into a mountain range, a Pharoah’s tomb, an ocean, anything. Hyperballad is the first and only Reality Sandbox, utilizing technologies known as LifeHacks to purport a finitely-renderd infinite temporal realm. (How else, would you suppose, this rebellious star hides from the IGS-U?)
Sounds like a dream, but it isn’t. Not for everyone.
Hyperballad has its own way of life. Stripped down, it is a glorified Cirque du Whorehouse, where the entertainers are slaves and the staff are militia. It is a free state of obscenity for those who can pay for freedom; it is an end-point for those who can’t. And there is no shortage of either across the stars.

Fifty years have passed since the rebellion of the five souls and since then the Hughes family have been on the throne. The Morgan’s have been banished since then. The children of the exiled king are plotting to return and take back what they believe to be rightfully theirs. The Locke’s are trying to gain more power by marrying off their children to the royal family, they want more land and need more allies to thrive. The Hughes don’t trust the Locke’s, but will do whatever it takes to keep them loyal. Plague and the rumor of war are bleeding in from the Marshall’s. The Hughe’s are not concerned, but there are threats for the heads of the Marshall’s going around. Unnatural forces reign in from all locations. Fortune tellers and prophets sing tales of the Gods. If the Gods’ show their wrath, what will you do?
This is War is an original medieval jcink rp, loosely based off of Game of Thrones. We are currently looking for another co admin, and a couple mods. Probably about four new staff members in total. We’d love to have more staff for when we open up so that everything can run smoothly, like keeping boards clean and advertising, and accepting new characters.
We don’t have many requirements, but hope that you will be active and on the site at least four times a week, and that you are friendly, welcoming, and just an overall energetic person.

Hey-oh! Times of Envy is looking to adopt someone into our staff family as a mod. We’re looking for something to help us around the site as well as grow the community. We (as in Tay and Zammy, the admins) are going to be away for a week where our ability to interact with members will be limited, and we need someone to sit on the throne and keep it warm until we get back.
What we’re looking for:
- Active
- Friendly
- Ability to be on May 27th – June 3rd
- Like plotting
- Graphic/coding skills aren’t mandatory, but they’d be pretty cool
- Be awesome, for realz
