CHAPTER TWO: FALSE PRETENSES
august 2nd, 2189
“it is with great sadness and great anguish that i announce that we must retreat from earth.
“we wish to assure the people of the alliance that this is not a surrender. this is not a defeat. this is merely a setback. our forces continue to gather, our soldiers continue to fight. the alien threat may have repelled our counter-offensive, but they have not broken our resolve. we will persevere and rise from this disaster like a phoenix from the flame.
“we believe that the decision to evacuate earth is in the best interest of humankind and that it is the best chance we have to succeed against the aliens. as we take refuge in wisteria, which we now declare to be the alliance capitol colony, we will regroup and continue in our fight against the aliens. we continue to urge all able-bodied individuals over the age of eighteen to enlist in the alliance military or take up arms with the militia. we must stand together!
“together, we can win this war! together, we can save humanity!”

So I got some questions ‘cause I’m curious: how many RP aliases do you have? Why do you have different RP aliases? Or do you always go by the same thing on every site you join?
Re: site tumblrs. As with everything, I think there are pros and cons. Regardless of whether you generate buzz before opening or not, if the board is interesting, well designed and organized properly then people will stick by it. At the same time, I don’t think the idea of site tumblrs doing pre-opening things should be discounted. For some boards, it enables the admins to properly tweak it with feedback from potential members. One last thing about site tumblrs and I’ll be done. xD I also think the working on a timeline rather than follower goals is a better way to go about it and if there’s a site that I’m interested in and I know it’ll be opening in the next few weeks, I have no problem with waiting; that’s generally the sort of member I think a board would rather have anyway that someone with just a passing fancy in it.
