Fifty years have passed since the rebellion of the five souls and since then the Hughes family have been on the throne. The Morgan’s have been banished since then. The children of the exiled king are plotting to return and take back what they believe to be rightfully theirs. The Locke’s are trying to gain more power by marrying off their children to the royal family, they want more land and need more allies to thrive. The Hughes don’t trust the Locke’s, but will do whatever it takes to keep them loyal. Plague and the rumor of war are bleeding in from the Marshall’s. The Hughe’s are not concerned, but there are threats for the heads of the Marshall’s going around. Unnatural forces reign in from all locations. Fortune tellers and prophets sing tales of the Gods. If the Gods’ show their wrath, what will you do?

Mutation: it is the key to our evolution. It has enabled us to evolve from a single-celled organism into the dominant species on the planet. This process is slow, and normally taking thousands and thousands of years. But every few hundred millennia, evolution leaps forward.
Every day, more and more people are beginning to grow more hostile towards the subset of the human species known as mutants. Like any “race” before them, they are being attacked with prejudice, injustice, and fear simply for living. Government policy has no precedence and are currently at a loss for how to handle these new “Mutants”. Professor Charles Xavier knows better than anyone the dangers of corruption involving mutant-kind, which resulted in his creation of the Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters. The world simply views the school as a private educational facility, but what people fail to realize is that Professor Xavier is training these mutants to harness their powers, tracking them through the use of a machine called Cerebro. His school is the headquarters for a secret organization called the X-Men.
Cerebro was not crafted alone, however. Another man, Erik Lehnsherr (otherwise known as Magneto), helped Charles Xavier craft Cerebro. Instead of finding mutants in order to help train and grow their powers, Magneto wishes to use it as a tool to locate mutants in order to train them in taking over mankind for their injustices. With his own malicious reasons for wanting to control, Magnet has created his own team of adversaries for the X-Men, named the Brotherhood of Mutants. An openly active terrorist group, the Brotherhood has attacked publicly and has further created fear towards the term “mutant.” A third group has come forth as well, known as the Hellfire Club. The purpose of the Hellfire Club is to obtain and exert power through politics and economic influence instead of outward conquest and domination. Rather than enslaving the human race like the Brotherhood, the Hellfire Club simply wants one thing: power.
Deep underground, another faction is slowly rising. Under the watchful eye of Callisto and an elderly mutant Annalee, the Morlocks are slowly forming. A group of physically mutated beings, the Morlocks have been shunned and treated possibly worse than any other mutants. We are now seeing the tides of change come along in our world. It’s only a matter of time before this fight that has been brewing for years comes to the forefront, endangering all those around. Who will come out on top? The X-Men, the Brotherhood, the Hellfire Club, or even the human politicians working so hard to try and end this potential threat. Only time will tell…
We are now seeing the beginnings of another stage of human evolution. These mutations manifest at puberty, and are often triggered by periods of heightened emotional stress.
