so, if you read joanna’s app, you will see that the majority of the last section talks about an older guy that she met in her college comp class. avan is that guy. he took a couple of years off before college after high school and then when he finally did go, he ended up failing composition and had to re-take it. that’s why he was in the same class as joanna. anyway, for the first few months of their friendship avan knew joanna as arden. he assumed that she was at least over eighteen and she didn’t correct him. he plays guitar in a band that mostly does small shows at nondescript bars in seattle and when he found out that she plays instruments/sings he invited her to join them every once in a while. she did, and they basically developed the kind of friendship where everyone and their mother can see that they’re interested in each other but they’re not doing anything about it. when avan finally did make a move, joanna told him that arden was her middle name and that she was only seventeen.
avan was pissed, feeling like she lied to him. eventually they settled things, but he told her that because she was only seventeen the only thing they could be was friends because the age of consent laws for washington make it illegal for her to be sexually involved with anyone over 21. joanna thinks that’s stupid, because she’s going to be eighteen in a few months and it’s not like she’s opposed to waiting to have sex. but he’s still nervous about it or maybe he just doesn’t trust her. either way, he’s insisting that they have to wait to talk about that kind of thing until she’s eighteen.
their friendship is different now. there’s still a lot of flirting going on, but there’s also some raging jealousy issues whenever one of them flirts with someone else or suggests they might be interested in someone else. aside from that, they’re fighting a lot because now he’s trying to be a ‘good influence’ on her by refusing to let her bum cigarettes off of him or use her fake i.d to buy drinks when they go out or making jokes about her being ‘just a kid’. joanna’s also sick of watching him flirt with other girls constantly and after finding out that he hooked up with someone, has decided that she’s going to live a little too. or maybe she just wants to make him jealous.
basically, the two of them are a hot mess right now and it’s going to be awesome.
everything’s pretty much up to you as long as he’s into music and if you’re going to take him i would suggest reading at least the last part of joanna’s app because it explains things in a much clearer way than i did just now.

Max and Grimsby - The little Mermaid
Max is probably Eric’s best friend. Until the portal, they were inseparable. Eric’s put his life on the line for Max, Max has found Eric his dream girl … and then all this business with the darkness started and it kinda put pay to that. Eric pushed Max and Grimsby through the portal before himself and is now on the lookout for his best mate. He needs him, if only just to have a friend that he could talk to – and besides, it would be great for him to actually be able to have a proper two-way chat with Max! So yes, Eric needs his Max!
Eric needs his Grimsby. He’s rather lost without him and needs him to just keep him in line. Never having had parents (that he remembers) Grimsby is the closest thing that Eric has had to a mother and father. Grimsby has in his own way brought him up and tried to mould him into the prince he’s set to become. As Eric’s listed as not being the brightest of the princes, Grimsby is his right hand man who helps him out and guides him. As he’s found his dream princess (who right now hates him) he does need Grim to just … give him a kick in the right direction, get him back in line and generally be the mother/father figure he needs!

Tunsi is kind of like the Dorne (Game of Thrones) of this universe, and the Saabs, its very own Bluth family of mediums (you can talk to ghosts! Summon spirits!).
I have the Gob/eldest son of the family (pb: Tahar Rahim), but I’d love to have the rest of the family (who had no choice but to keep themselves together)!!!
