In reply to “taboo subjects”… I think rp is meant for exploration; you should be able to write what you want to write no matter how conflicting it may be. Most sites I’ve been on simply require for those kind of threads to be marked, so as long as you mark it a accordingly and your rp partner is ok with the subject matter, then I don’t see a problem.

On taboo things: incest is never okay, IMO. If it’s an RP that takes place in, say, something like medieval times, I can handle cousins and stuff, but when you start throwing siblings together… no. Hell no. I can’t deal with it.

Taboo subjects. They vary from person to person and I personally don’t play them. I mean, I feel shooting up heroin and doing drugs should be something taboo because I’ve had family go to rehab but other people think that’s the best thing and there are so many drug addict characters. As long as you are comfortable and your rp partner is, explore and write whatever.
