“the reports claim that it was a sudden and deliberate attack by alien ships. we are not sure where they came from, or what they want with us, but we will not go quietly into the night. we consider all attacks on alliance centers as an open declaration of war. we have already requested all of our military and reserves to report to duty.
“the alliance requests all able-bodied men and women over the age of 18 to report to the nearest command center. in our moment of weakness, we must present a united front. i believe that the human spirit can persevere through difficult times. even amidst the darkness, we must find our resolve. we must now rely on our spirit, our unbounded determination, to stave us from elimination.
“in light of this alien invasion, we believe that there is no choice but to mount a full-fledged counter-offensive. we shall go on to the end—no matter how long it takes, no matter how much it costs—the human spirit will defend ourselves to the uttermost. with the full might of our unending conviction and resolve, we shall persevere.
