I’ve been RP-ing since 05-06 and I had been seeing final popping up on the characters plots, they weren’t has requested as they are now but they were there. As for origin I don’t know but I can say that for the time I have been actively RP-img it’s been in use.

What is with everyone always describing their site as “blah blah blah with a twist”? What is the twist? Nine times out of ten, there is no twist at all. And if there is one, it’s completely unoriginal and overdone. I’ve talked with a lot of roleplayers and they think that the term “with a twist” just completely throws them off from even looking at the site.

IDK about anyone else, but every time I see “with a twist” tacked onto a site tumblr’s description, I can’t help but roll my eyes and just keep scrolling. I can count on one hand the number of times this “twist” has been anything substantial- beyond being set somewhere that isn’t commonly-used or “OMG THEY HAVE LE POWERZZZ!”

are people still interested in superhero role plays?

I know the Harry Potter genre is very well represented in the RP community, but would there be an interest in a Salem Witches’ Institute (the American magic school mentioned in Goblet of Fire) board? I was thinking something set in current times with a prep school/Ivy League feeling like Yale or Harvard or Cornell. A little less medieval than Hogwarts, but just as magical, and with turmoil over the potential of ‘mainstreaming’ with a werewolf plot as an undercurrent.
