I think no one explained it better than the person who posted here saying that sites these days are so fickle because people go on them with planned relationships, which doesn’t leave a lot of room for plotting for the rest of the people on the site. Plus - I hate saying this because it’s getting old but - I find that a lot of sites tend to have their own groups, and they don’t allow for new people to come in. And when an open character is posted, no one plots with them. It’s quite frustrating.

i think in terms of sites right now, though everyone is entitled to their opinion and it can be fun and cathartic to gripe and complain…but i’ve definitely been seeing a trend of more imaginative sites being created. a lot of people are making new sites with fun and out of the box ideas that are different from the norm of repetitive real life, town/city, harry potter, etc boards. :)

I think we’ve had some inventive site ideas. The problem is that so many of them aren’t played quite as inventively. It’s a real shame when you see a creative, intricate world and then have the players playing out he same teenage dramas and soap operas that they can on nearly any site. Or they just port over characters that they’ve adapted from conventional sites. More people should use the palette given and create entirely unique characters and plots.
