Basic Info: Casey’s (my character) father died when she was thirteen going on fourteen years old.  He was killed by a drunk driver and even though it was extremely difficult for her to cope, her mother was worse off.  She was on a downward spiral of alcohol use and depression.  This continued on for years.  Casey not only lost her dad, but she also lost her mom in the whole complicated grieving process.  After three years and two different suicide attempts, her mother entered a psychiatric rehabilitation hospital to hopefully get some much needed help.  Casey stayed with relatives and visited every single day.  Spending so much time there was what led her to meet Christian.  She never thought she would actually get along so well with someone in a nuthouse, but he understood her.  He was someone to talk to about everything going on and that was so needed at the time.  Christian was fairly good-looking, a bit older and didn’t seem to be that ‘off’ at all.  Plus, Casey was a young and naïve sixteen year old and just happened to like the attention.   

After being around him so much, some things just started to seem strange.  He would say or do things that just weren’t normal for the average person.  There was that feeling in her gut that was telling her to avoid him.  So, that’s what Casey tried to do.  Her mother was eventually released and she hoped that she would be able to return to a normal life in Savannah, but that just didn’t seem to be likely.  Christian was released around the same time and everywhere she went, he was there.  He’d call at all hours of the day and Casey would make up some excuse for not answering.  After graduating from high school, she left Savannah unexpectedly and settled into a small apartment in Atlanta to get away from him.  Even when she moved, he would still try to contact her.  Christian left her messages and sent her items in the mail.  He seemed to always know exactly where she was.  Since then, Casey has recently gotten married and she’s trying to settle in with her new husband.  I’d love to see what would happen if Christian pops up again.
