Re: Poorly Filled Character Requests

In regards to the incorrect request fill, I would honestly just re-open the request myself, especially if I spoke to the person to begin with before they were done. They didn’t at all respect what you wanted done and that’s unfair to you. And as an admin I would hate it if this happened on my board and the requester felt like they were stuck with something they didn’t want. Perhaps just contact the admin and explain the situation, just to make sure the other person can’t cause any drama.
re: requests. I do my best to keep personalities pretty vague in requests because I really like when people are inspired and inject life into it more than laying down strict guidelines. That being said, I’ve definitely been disappointed a time or two by the way people interpret things from time to time. And I have been ignored after picking up a request before with no reason. I think it’s definitely something that needs discussing and I say reopen it if they don’t make an effort to compromise.
i think the only way is to tell them and don’t beat around the bush when you say, hey, this isn’t what i pictured. if they’re not listening to what it is you want, there’s really nothing you can do but ask them to make it an original character rather than the one you requested. explain that you don’t want them to have to compromise BOTH of the characters for EITHER of you to be happy. they can make what they want and back off for someone that will make the character YOU want.
#discussion (Poorly played requests) : If someone doesn’t play my requested character the way I want, then I’m going to just throw a fit and leave the site, because that exhausts my options for enjoying my role play experience. Because if someone doesn’t make my final love of my life the way I want, then I’m forced to actually try and plot with other characters with a degree of uncertainty. Who the hell does that?
