Anonymous asked: When sites use the word literate, it isn’t always about being pretentious. Advanced is another one you’ll see floating around that’s usually used to get the same point across, but it comes off as a little intimidating to players that *are* good writers but don’t have a ton of time on their hands to write 4,000 words a post. To me, literate is just a way of showing “hey, most people on this site have a good grasp of spelling, grammar and interesting plot building going beyond shipping celebs”.
