Time travel is mankind’s ultimate dream. What if you could go back and witness history? What if you could better your future—by fixing your past? You’ve seen the movies, you’ve read the books, and you find yourself envisioning a time machine of sorts, the very tool to get you ‘there.’

But what if that’s not the case?

What if you inadvertently became ‘unstuck’ in time? What if it was completely out of your control? Imagine going to bed in one year, and waking up in another. Imagine having thought you died, but there you are, in some other century, or decade, and you’re alive and well, like nothing ever happened. Drawing inspiration from the BBC’s Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes, Cygnet Committee is an upcoming roleplay forum set in 1960s New York City. It will explore both the culture and the culture shock of the individuals who fall victim to accidental time travel, as well as the people who actually ‘belong’ to that era.
